Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow? by by Claudia Carroll

Synopsis

Annie and Dan was childhood sweethearts. They met when they were just 15 years old and have been together eversince.

Now, they are in their late twenties. Annie was an actress while Dan is a vetenarian in the country side. They moved in with Dan's insufferable mother as his father had passed away.

Dan works 24/7 while Annie is stucked in the country side working in a small book-store and at the same time care of her whinning Mother-in-Law, entertaining neighbour whose skin is a thick as the Great Wall of China and her only friend is her 19 years old school dropped out Sister-in-law.

It had not been all that bad for Annie as like her name, she was very patience. However, Dan was out of the house more and more. He is turning into a workaholic and Annie can't fault him as he is doing his best for the family. However, would his best means that Annie be put in second place at all times?

Then out of the blue, her agent called her and she was given the golden opportunity of her lifetime to appear in a broadway show but that would means that she and Dan will be separated for a year.

Would their marriage survive "the Gap Year" with third parties trying to separate them?

My Comments:

This is certainly an engaging read eventhough the first few chapters were rather slow talking mostly about Annie's frustration. I feel frustrated for her when I read those chapters. Guess it's a good sign right? Means the author managed to gain readers' attention.

What I like about the book is that the problems highlighted are very real and could be happening to many couples nowadays, though not many would have the patience like Annie.

My heartached each time Dan did something and disappoints Annie. Makes me wanna give Dan a good slap or two.

Love the "side-kick" Sister-in-Law of hers.

Plot was good for me. Some unexpected scene developed.

Yes, this is a good book for me. It would have been excellent of the pace was faster in the beginning.

I give this book 4 stars out of 5.

That is till he meet a woman, Mercy, who could shed some light on what had happen and the where about of his mother. But before that could he learn to forgive his mother?

My Comments:

I love this book and I found that it's an emotional book.

The plot is simple but its so well written that I can't help shedding tears in some parts of it. Not much mystery in this as I could guess who is Jonathan's mother from the first few chapter.

I guess what makes this book such a good read is that it's based on two true stories combined. At the back section of the book, the author had also revealed the two true stories which leads to him writing this book and also a word of wisdom to his readers.

Thank you very much to Stephen Arterburn for writing this wonderful book.

For me it rate 5 stars out of 5.

All hxxx broke lose when the secret came out.

My Comments

After reading the sad story in The Death of Vishnu, I felt like reading something light. Dug into the boxes of books that I bought from last year Big Bad Wolf Sale and found this. Yup...I have boxes full of books yet to read and I kept buying them as am addicted to books.

Can't help myself as I found so many affordable reads from BBWS, Bookxcess, Big Book Shop Sale and Pay Less Books.

I am glad this book did not disappoint me. It's light hearted read. Please don't expect heavy thought provoking stuffs from a Chick-lit. It's meant to entertain and makes readers happy.

Overall, the story line and plot is pretty believable; unlike some that I have read before. I have no doubt that a person may have been too scared to reveal their dark secret till it eats them up from inside and the it's too late to do anything about it.

I found that the letter from Allan is pretty moving and romantic too.

Yes, this is the read if you wish for some escapism from the drudgery of life or just wanted to lighten up the dark mood.

I bought this in last year Big Bad Wolf Sale.

For a five million pound pay cheque, it's a risk he's willing to take.

Set against a backdrop of a sumptuous crumbling English country house, the film-set of Wuthering Heights is going to be as salacious as the setting is beautiful

My Comments :-

I have fell in love with Tilly Bagshawe's works since the first book of hers that I've read.

As far as I've noticed, she writes two type of books. One is suspense and the other, chick-lit type of romance.  This book is from the latter category.

What I love about this book is that it is so tantalising. Certainly a page turner. All the characters are so "alive".

Among all the characters, I was rooting for Sabrina and Tish the most.

I can't help feeling sad for Sabrina for the harassment that she faced. And at times I feel like shaking her to make her shut up and stop mouthing off at the paparazzi. However, I feel that there is still room for improvement on the part where Sabrina switches her attention from one lover to another. That part especially near the ending was not that convincingly done.

As for Tish, I was hoping the author would kill off her good for nothing brother, Jago. Love her little boy Abel.

I don't really like the hero Viorel. It seems to me he is in the book just to spice it up with sex appeal.

Despite everything, this is still a very thrilling reads for me.

I rate it 4 stars out of 5.
